Arundel is an adapted reuse project of a historic barn located in Pennsylvania wine country. The original structure was preserved and enhanced to serve the buildings new purpose of winery and brew-pub. The exterior was designed to preserve the original form and character of the original “red barn” with updated siding, windows, and a new entry atrium that showcases the timber beams and columns. The interior finishes accent the original stone foundations and utilize exposed steel connections to enhance and strengthen the original heavy-timber structure. The design and documentation was completed in spring 2013 and the construction was completed in 2014.
